COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. (WTVO) — Police in Wisconsin arrested Mario Gonzalez, 19, of Rockford after a pursuit that reached speeds of 100 mph.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy tried to stop Gonzalez around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday on Highway 151 at mile marker 117. Authorities said Gonzalez initially stopped, then pulled away.
Police said Gonzalez was throwing items from his car during the pursuit. The chase crossed from Columbia County into Dodge County, where a sheriff’s deputy used a tire deflation device near the intersection of Highway 151 and Highway 33, which disabled Gonzalez’ car, police said.
Gonzalez was charged with fleeing an officer, possession of cocaine, and possession of THC.
