The New York Jets overhauled their offensive line, replacing three starters this past offseason.

It's only been two weeks, but the results have been a stark contrast to the unit's struggles from one year ago. The Jets have jumped firmly into the Top 10 of the weekly Pro Football Focus offensive line rankings.

Ascending up from the No. 11 spot, New York's offensive line claimed the No. 6 overall ranking from PFF heading into Week 3. The Indianapolis Colts topped the charts at No. 1. The Jets rank second amongst AFC East teams with the Buffalo Bills standing at No. 4 overall.

The Jets soar to No. 6 after an impressive week: The unit is up five spots from last week after surrendering just one pressure — albeit a sack — on 33 dropbacks, which led to a league-leading 97.0 PFF pass-blocking efficiency score.

New York has surrendered sacks on 5.08 percent of pass attempts, ranking eighth amongst NFL team leaders. In 2023, the Jets were 29th while permitting sacks on 10.65 percent of drop backs.

"The pocket's been pretty bucolic, I would say the first couple weeks. It's been real nice back there. Not many hits, not many sacks, a lot of time," said quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Tuesday.

Left tackle Tyron Smith, an eight-time Pro Bowl honoree, has been as good as advertised. The 33-year-old bookend has not allowed a pressure through 33 pass blocking snaps this season. His 80.8 overall PFF grade is the fifth highest amongst all NFL tackles after two games.

In addition to Smith, New York installed former Baltimore Ravens' starters John Simpson and Morgan Moses at left guard and right tackle, respectively.

Right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker is back from his Achilles tear. Meanwhile, Tippmann, the lone holdover from last year's patchwork unit, accounted for the highest PFF grade of all Jets' players in the Week 2 win. The second-year center graded out at 83.6 in the 24-17 victory.
