JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Janesville Police arrested Kristopher Klein and Neanni Bowman for allegedly stealing a car with a 2-year-old inside.
On Dec. 13, around 4:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Stop N Go located at 714 Center Avenue for reports of a stolen vehicle. The caller told authorities a toddler was still inside the vehicle.
A witness told police they found the child abandoned and unharmed on the side of Riverside Street in the car seat.
Later, Rock County Sheriff's Deputies found the stolen vehicle on Afton Road, near Beloit. Both suspects were taken into custody.
Klein is charged with operating a vehicle without the owner's consent, abduction of someone's child, child abandonment, two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and felony bail jumping.
Bowman is charged with operating a vehicle without the owner's consent, abduction of someone's child, child abandonment and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
