LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — The Harlem School District says police are investigating after a bullet was found in one of the bathrooms at Harlem Middle School.
The school district sent a message to parents Tuesday afternoon notifying them about the event.
“Please rest assured that both our administration and School Resource Officers immediately responded to the situation and are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of all students and faculty members,” Principal Jerry Harris said.
The school said that it did not have any indication of a threat against the school, a student, or staff related to the bullet.
Harlem Middle School is located at 735 Windsor Road.
